James was born in the parish of Barton, Somerset and enlisted age 18 years in the Royal Marines 19.12.1839. He served on H.M.S. Rodney 18.5.1840 to 24.3.1943. H.M.S Albion 14.5.1845 to 22.1.1848. Home 1.6.1848 to 9.9.1848 and H.M.S Thetis 10.9.1848 to 6.7.1850. A total of 14 years, 321 days.
Sold with copies of marriage certificates and a run of census records which shows J.C. Osbornes details and as stated I’m pretty sure it’s Father and Son.
