The battalion got into action towards the end of the Battle of Quatre Bras on June 16th and suffered 3 officers and 16 men killed and 7 officers and 70 men wounded. On June 18th the battalion was positioned close to La Haye Sainte. It suffered from French artillery fire and from repeated cavalry attacks. They took part in the repulse of the Imperial Guard towards the close of the battle. They suffered 2 officers and 33 men killed and 8 officers and 92 men wounded.
